At the heart of every active speaker lies its "engine"—the active module. These modules integrate precision components such as transformers, capacitors, and power amplifier chips. However, these delicate electronics face three silent killers: moisture, dust accumulation, and heat stagnation. To ensure your equipment remains resilient in any environment, Sinbosen is proud to introduce the dedicated Waterproof Cover for our DM Series active modules.

Total Protection, Zero Compromise
Our new protective cover is designed with high-performance waterproof materials to shield your electronics from sudden rain or humid outdoor conditions. Key features include:

Premium Waterproof Material: Offers a robust barrier against water ingress and corrosive dust.

Waterproof Zipper Design: Ensures a tight seal while allowing quick access to the control panel when adjustments are needed.

Universal Compatibility: This design fits all models within the DM Series. Whether you are ordering a new system or looking to upgrade your current setup, this cover is the perfect fit.

Easy Installation & Retrofit
We believe in making professional protection accessible. For our existing customers who already own DM Series modules, this cover is incredibly easy to install. It requires a simple "screw-on" process that you can do yourself in minutes—no complex modifications required.

Smart Thermal Management
A common concern with protective covers is heat. However, the DM Series modules are equipped with high-efficiency internal cooling fans. This powerful active cooling system ensures that even when the waterproof cover is in use, the internal components maintain an optimal operating temperature, preventing any risk of overheating during high-performance sets.

Future-Forward Design: We Value Your Feedback
At Sinbosen, we are committed to continuous improvement. We are currently refining the design to include Velcro straps, allowing users to neatly roll up the cover during dry weather for even better accessibility.

I. What Happens If the Active Module is Not Properly Protected?

The active module is the "heart" of a speaker, integrating precision components like transformers, capacitors, and power amplifier chips. Its primary enemies are moisture, dust accumulation, and poor heat dissipation.

Short Circuits and Burnouts: This is the most immediate threat. If rainwater or condensation penetrates the circuit board, it can cause short circuits between high-voltage and low-voltage sections. This ranges from blown fuses and capacitors to the total destruction of the power amplifier chips.

Circuit Board Corrosion (Electrochemical Reaction): Long-term exposure to humid air causes the copper traces on the PCB to oxidize and develop "green rust." This leads to poor contact, increased signal noise, and even physical breaks in the circuitry.

Leakage and Shock Hazards: Water is a conductor. If the back panel protection fails, current can conduct through a damp chassis or stand. This not only damages the equipment but also poses a significant risk of electric shock to operators.
Overheating due to Dust Accumulation: Without protection, dust settles on heat sinks and components, obstructing thermal discharge. If an active module operates at high temperatures for extended periods, the lifespan of electrolytic capacitors can be reduced by more than 50%.

II. Benefits of Installing a Rain Cover (Protective Shield)

For outdoor performances or fixed installations, a rain cover is more than just a shield—it acts as an "environmental regulator" for your gear.

All-Weather Operational Capability: Your speakers can continue to function during sudden light rain or heavy fog. This eliminates the need for emergency teardowns due to unpredictable weather changes.

Physical Moisture Barrier and Isolation: High-quality rain covers are typically made from waterproof yet breathable fabrics. They block raindrops while allowing internal heat to escape, significantly reducing the risk of internal condensation.

Extended Component Lifespan: By blocking direct UV radiation and wind-blown sand, the cover prevents potentiometers (volume knobs), interfaces, and switches on the back panel from aging prematurely or seizing up.

Enhanced Stability: By maintaining a dry and clean circuit environment, the cover effectively reduces noise (such as buzzing or humming) caused by leakage current, ensuring the purest sound quality.
